So, I whipped out my handy black sheep measuring tape, measured the brim and drew a quick sketch when I got back to the car. Then, I realized that the one color I had of Fixation would simply not do for what I had in mind. Fortunately, I was visiting yarn stores and was able to find a more appropriate color..... So, now I need to knit another so I can send this one off to the very worthy recipient..... Also, I decided I needed to make a second size since it was so quick and really is quite cute.....

C6F - Slip 3 stitches to cable needle, hold in front of work, knit next 3 stitches from LH needle, knit 3 stitches from cable needle

Cast on 70 (80) stitches
Join in round, careful not to twist.

1. With the right side of the two pieces facing each other, and the needles parallel, insert a third needle knitwise into the first stitch of each needle. Wrap the yarn around the needle as if to knit.
2. Knit these two stitches together and slip them off the needles. *Knit the next two stitches together in the same way as shown.
3. Slip the first stitch on the third needle over the second stitch and off the needle. Repeat from the * in step 2 across the row until all the stitches are bound off.
Cast on 70 (80) stitches
Join in round, careful not to twist.

Change to US 6

Bind off using 3 Needle Bind off (turn work inside out before staring). Weave in ends.
