David Turns 4!

Since David (our favorite child model) is four today, there will be four free patterrns that he has modeled for Cascade Yarns.

Originally knit in Cascade 109 Tweed (color 7627), this quick and cozy sweater can easily be knit in  128 Tweed (available in 48 colors), 128 Chunky (available in more than 50 colors), or 128 Superwash (the most kid friendly choice and available in 42 colors).  Color 7627 is available in the 128 tweed and the solid version is 8013 in Cascade 128 and 862 in 128 Superwash.
Materials
- 3-4 skeins Cascade 128 (Tweed, Chunky, or Superwash)
- US 10 Knitting Needles and 16" Circular Needles
- Cable Needle
Sizes - 1-3 yrs (Chest size:  24-28"; Length:  13-15")

220 Superwash (100% superwash wool; 220 yards per 100 grams - available in more than 160 solids, heathers, quatros, and hand paints)
2(3, 4) skeins color 845 "A" (Denim)
1 skein each:  802 "B" (Green Apple), 820 "C" (Lemon), 846 "D" (Blue), and 822 "E" (Pumpkin)

Needles:  size US 5 and 7 and Size G/6 crochet hook
Embroidery needle
5 green 4 hole button - 1/2"

Gauge: 20sts and 26 rows = 4" stripe pattern: 2 rows B in garter, 2 rows A in St st, 2 rows E in garter, 2 rows A in St st, 2 rows D in garter st.

1 skein each:  821 "B" (Daffodil), 864 "C" (Christmas Green), and 822 "D" (Pumpkin)

Needles:  US 5 and 7 needles and size G/6 crochet hook
Embroidery needle
1 royal 4-hole button - 3/8"

Gauge: 20 sts and 26 rows = 4" - Stripe pattern: *2 rows B, 2 rows D; repeat from* (4 rows)

Finished Measurements: 23 ½”, 26”, 28”

Gauge: 4.5 sts = 1”, 9 rows = 1” in garter st on size 8’s
 
Greenland is David's favorite yarn to wear in a sweater (he has 2 others) - it washes beautifully, is durable, and feels like cotton next to his skin (while still having the wonderful insulating qualities and breathability of wool).
